The game will be an Elders game using Vampire: the Requiem 2nd Edition and the Primacy rules from Damnation City. As such, when it makes sense I'll be posting stats for the characters as starting PC Agents, 25 XP Rank Elders and 75 XP Movers and Shakers.

The Pretender
Description
The Pretender, or Mr. Hill as he likes to call himself, sees everything in terms of appearances. Present one horrible truth and people won't look too close to see if the rest is true or not.Mr. Hill took extreme steps to make this true. Unsatisfied with the disfigurements common to his clan, he steeled himself, poured kerosene over himself and lit a match.
Blackened skin stretches tight across his skull, the fat melted and congealed like some gruesome candle. Stripped of expression, Hill compensates with props and an evocative raspy voice. Chomping a cigar in his lipless mouth while posing in his tailored suits he endeavors to create a haute horror.
History
Everything is a lie.Foster Hill claims to be a recently awakened elder vampire from the city's early days. He pays for things in currency a century out of date. He wears anachronism without irony. He drops names, names he shouldn't know and hints at secrets only the ancient know of. He portrays the facade of an old vampire working to reclaim their power and influence after a long torpor.
The truth is a prosaic broken thing.
Foster's Embrace was mere decades ago. Rather than a centuries old horror, he is a neonate thrust in world of nightmares and desire to seize his destiny.
Mr. Hill hides his real name (Walter Perry) well helped by the distance he's put between himself and the people who raised him. Chaos filled his early life: the death of his mother, the disappearance of his father, the shuffling between relatives as a child. Once he got out on his own, he locked down those parts of his life he could control. Since his Embrace he's steadily expanded that sphere.
His Sire was the true Mr. Hill, a deranged and retreating elder who hoped Walter could help him understand this era. Thrown into chaos again, Walter hated this would be mentor. But he was smart enough to learn and pumped the feeble monster for lore. Then he destroyed him by luring him to his apartment for a talk. Hill, born before the city gained its current name, failed to recognize the danger of a broken gas line.
Walter stepped out and became the later Mr. Hill.
Walter had been nobody. Skilled perhaps and belonging to an entitled demographic but mainly good at manipulating others to secure his cushy white-collar job. Mr. Hill was a monster on the rise, a creature that would control city officials and play the game with the best.
