The final character is a broken warrior, a vet whose experiences have left them suffering PTSD. Worse the company that hired him is making him more insane as they try to make him a better monster hunter.
Like all of the characters, I did not give him or her a name leave that and much of the character's physical description to the player. What has been decided is the background, skills and personality of the character.
Veteran Coming Apart at the Seams
Employee Number R031520113734
Background: Back in the war, you saw plenty of violence. People killed, maimed, scarred for life. The stress stayed with you, the fear that you might be next or worse that you might hurt someone yourself. You returned to a country that didn't fully understand you and were written off with an acronym: PTSD.You've tried to adjust, find steady work, get past the nightmares, the anxiety. But when everyone is hurting for a job, no one wants to hire a washed up veteran. After some substance abuse and time living unemployed, you were offered a position and a health plan to deal with your lingering symptoms.
You had no idea you were going back to the fight. Killing monsters stirs up the same issues the war did. They pay more and the drugs keep your inner demons at bay better, but they only treat the symptoms.
Sample Names: Bill Smith, Maria Ortega, Jose Martinez
